Sadbh’s update – June 14 2016

Sadbh did well and only woke up a few times due to the sensors on her nose. Katie could not hear any stridor in her breathing and she was well rested when she woke up.

She was covered from head to toe in adhesive from the sensors so we gave her a bath as soon as she got home.

Once she was cleaned up, dressed and fed she could not wait to go to school.

She was a little late arriving but when Katie walked her into the classroom her best friend, Ellie Bea, jumped out to surprise her and gave her a massive hug.

We should hear back from Dr. Inglis in a few weeks on the results from the sleep study and that will hopefully also provide us with the next set of options to consider.

Sadbh’s sleep study at Children’s was originally scheduled for this coming Thursday, however we received a call over the weekend letting us know that an opening came up tonight. We figured that since Friday is her last day at school it would be better for her to do the sleep study tonight so she could enjoy her last day with the rest of her class mates.

She was very excited to go this time around and both Katie and I were very impressed with how brave she was.

Check in was at 7pm and by 8:30 she was hooked up from head to toe with all sorts of sensors.

We will not receive the results for a few weeks but we are looking forward to figuring out what our next steps are.

I hope she has a good nights rest.
