Sadbh’s update – June 17 2016
Today was Sadbh’s last day
of pre-school. I joined in for half her day and Katie joined in for the last
hour. Sadbh was so happy to see us and we got to have fun with her and her
school friends.
We were so lucky to find
such a wonderful school and were so fortunate that her teachers were willing
and able to look after Sadbh considering her special needs.
During the year Sadbh was
asked what the favorite part of her was, she responded and the teachers printed
it up for her.
She said, “My favorite part
of me is my eyes. My eyes can see mermaids. My eyes are pretty”.

Sadbh’s update – June 15 2016
We sold Sadbh’s stroller
today after more than five years of use. We originally purchased it before she
was born but it turned out to be one incredible piece of equipment. It
supported her medical equipment, all 2 tonnes of it. And when it failed, the
manufacturer replaced the parts without any issue.
When the new owner came to
take the stroller home it was a bittersweet moment for us. This stroller has a
very important part of getting Sadbh mobile but it was important for us to let
go of it and allow someone else to benefit from it’s use.
It sounds silly but this
device was a pack mule for our family and allowed us to haul everything,
especially our daughter anywhere we wanted to.
Onwards and upwards, as the
saying goes.
