Sadbh’s update – April 10 2017
It was Sadbh’s birthday, today, and she was up
super early wanting to check out what presents she received.
She had a wonderful birthday weekend and today
was no exception.
After opening her presents we headed out for a
special breakfast treat. She had a big
bunny pancake and devoured the whole thing.
Later, we headed to the pool for a swim. Until
now, Sadbh has been unable to go under the water due to the hole in her neck
and any time we have gone swimming it’s been extremely stressful for Katie and
me as one of us has to accompany her at all times to make sure she does not go
under.
Today was an incredible milestone for all of us
as for the first time Sadbh was able to have fun like all the other kids.
She especially loved going down the slide and
had no problems getting completely dunked under the water.
Now it’s time to teach her how to swim
properly.
