Sadbh has been very fortunate lately and has been
able to avoid catching colds, etc. Unfortunately, she must have caught some
type of tummy bug yesterday as she spent the night throwing up. It was fairly stressful,
as we wanted to make sure she did not get sick on her neck since she still has
an open airway. She is hyper aware of her open stoma in her neck and was very
careful when she threw up and made every effort possible to keep her neck
clear.
It was a long night and Sadbh was still not 100% when
she woke up in the morning. We decided to keep her home from school so she
could rest up and get better.
She had a great day and insisted on setting up our
little home school so she could learn how to spell and write. We had fun and
even Cillian joined in on the action.
Unfortunately, she got very sick again in the early
evening which required a huge clean up mission.
She spent the rest of the evening taking it easy and
she was in a great mood when it came time for bed.
Hopefully she will have a much better night tonight
and that she will be able to go to school in the morning.
