Sadbh’s update – June 12th, 2012

Sadbh had another fantastic night sleep and slept right through until after Larissa finished her shift.  After a quick snack, she was back to sleep again.

By 8:15, Sadbh was ready for breakfast and since she had a great sleep, she had quite the appetite.
For breakfast she had cereal including a banana, some naan bread and apples.

Afterwards, it was time for the fun and games to start.
Destiny was working today so Sadbh was excited to show off her new wagon.
She has become quite the diva and had Nini wheel her around in the company of her favorite dolls and cuddly animals.
Once she was down cruising around the house, it was time to take on the stairs.
That wasn’t enough to tire Sadbh out, so it was time for a dancing session in the living room.
Sadbh had a fantastic time and was soon very ready for trach care.

Trach care was very straightforward and Sadbh slept for 40 minutes or so. She was still very tired when she woke up, however she did not want to miss out on the fun.

The weather cleared so it was time for a walk through the neighborhood and up to Trader Joes.
Sadbh was delighted with the change of scenery and once she arrived at TJ’s, she was in her element flirting with all the guys. She obviously got a lot of attention and ended up blowing kisses to everyone.

Her evening was spent playing in her red wagon with all her toys, and once she heard Katie pull up outside, she was beside herself with excitement.

Sadbh has a huge appetite and I swear she could eat a horse, but what’s interesting is that lately she only wants to eat what we are eating. This evening, after slicing up a zucchini for dinner, Sadbh was desperate to eat some.  She loved it and continued to munch on the raw zucchini to her hearts content.
Once she sees what’s on our plate, she looses interest in what is in front of her and she wants our food. This is great since we try to eat quite healthy and its fun sharing with our little princess.

All the best,

Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
