Sadbh had a follow up appointment with her pediatrician today to get her immunization shots. To be honest, we are not big fans of immunizations, however considering her circumstance, we felt it would be best to give her whatever is needed to keep her immune system as strong as possible.
She had a total of 3 shots and one by mouth, thankfully one of the shots was a cocktail that included 4 different vaccinations. As you can imagine, she was a little cranky, however she back to her pleasant little self within a minute.
Katie was extremely impressed with Dr. Bowe's nurse, Marie. While Katie was distracting Sadbh in anticipation of the shots, nurse Marie administered all three shots within the blink of an eye, and upon completion she said to Sadbh, "viola! ma cherie".
Dr. Bowe was quite impressed with Sadbh's development. She's gaining weight at a good rate, 10 ounces in 9 days, for a total weight of 9 pounds 12 ounces. She also grew another 6 inches for a total of 21.5 inches.
