Sadbh had an appointment with a Osteopathic Physician today so we could explore alternative therapies to assist in resolving her condition.
Cranial sacral therapy has been high on our list for quite some time, but we wanted to make sure we were home and somewhat settled in before trying it out.
Today's appointment went very well. Dr. Cavanaugh was able to work with Sadbh and identified areas around her body that required adjustment. He noticed that her rib cage was set a lot higher than it should have been, and determined that it was caused as a result of her difficulty in breathing and possibly caused by her muscles working overtime to expand her lungs.
He also worked on the area at the base of her skull and hopes that this adjustment should hopefully reduce pressure in that area.
It's not certain that any of this will resolve Sadbh's condition, however it's worth trying out and we have a follow up appointment next week.
