Sadbh slept great and woke
up with a slight fever. Unfortunately her brother had a very rough night and
also woke up with a fever.
We decided to keep Sadbh at
home from school and when it was time I took both kids to see the doctor.
We were nervous that Sadbh
was coming down with another cold and with the fear of her experiencing yet
another respiratory inflammation we figured that it would be best to keep ahead
of things and get the doctor to give her a once over and gear us up for what may
be coming down the pike.
After explaining all the
symptoms for each of the kids to Dr. Hathaway she started to check Sadbh over
first. She suspected that Sadbh may have strep, but after checking Cillian over
she quickly realized that both kids have Hand, Foot and Mouth disease.
Thankfully it is not a
serious disease but it very uncomfortable for both kids.
Hopefully they are on the
tail end of it and will be back in action in a few days.
More importantly we are
relieved that Sadbh does not have a respiratory issue to worry about this time
around.
