Larissa worked last night and Sadbh slept well for the most
part. Her temperature did spike at one point, but after giving her some Tylenol
she calmed right down and slept without any problems until 5:30.
Excluding Tuesday & Friday, we do not have any daytime
nursing coverage all week, so Katie and I are taking turns looking after Sadbh
by splitting each day. Katie is looking after Sadbh in the mornings while I
take care of the afternoons.
Sadbh had a great morning playing with Katie and during
breakfast she got to wear three hair clips in her very short hair. She looked
so cute.
Ali-Baba came over to help out with trach care and Sadbh slept
for an hour.
I arrived home about twenty minutes before Sadbh woke up and when
she did wake, it was obviously on the wrong side of the cot.
She was still very tired, but extremely cranky. She did not want
lunch, so I bundled her into her stroller and headed off for a walk. This
seemed to do the trick and immediately she started grinning from ear to ear.
I brought her to one of her favorite parks, however since the
adjacent school is back in session, it was closed off to the public. Sadbh was
very disappointed but was soon distracted by a couple of wiener dogs that she
could not stop waving to.
By the time we arrived home Sadbh’s appetite had returned. We
spent the rest of the day playing in the living room and despite all the
running and racing, Sadbh did not tire out.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
