Sadbh came running up the stairs shortly before seven
after a great night sleep. She was in a brilliant mood and wanted to watch some
Curious George, as Mommy was getting ready for work.
Sadbh had a big appetite for breakfast and gobbled up
everything that was made for her.
As soon as she was done it was time to get dressed
and ready for some home schooling and arts and crafts. I made it a little more
fun this time and Sadbh was a lot more engaged.
When she was done with arts and crafts it was time to
listen to her favorite song and dance around the dining room. It was so much
fun and both of us laughed for ages.
Sadbh got to chat with her aunt Trish and her cousin
Josh in New Zealand. She somehow got it into her head that she wanted to visit
Josh when her trach comes out so she could marry him. No doubt that there needs
to be some explaining to be done.
After lunch we headed over to take care of an errand
in West Seattle and just as we arrived Sadbh started nodding off to sleep with
her trach cap on. I let her sleep on for twenty minutes or so but eventually we
needed to move on and despite taking her out of the car she still napped on my
shoulder for another while.
Our next port of call was Costco. Sadbh was excited
to try out the new piggyback attachment for her stroller. It’s a step with
wheels that attaches to the back of her stroller and it made for a fun and
exciting trip through Costco.
When we arrived home it was time to read and get
dinner ready. Sadbh took over an hour to eat dinner but was excited when Mommy
eventually arrived.
Before bedtime she got to pull out all her dolls, all
fifteen of them, and set them up for bed. She give one each to Katie and me to
cuddle and every so often she would run over and nurse them. It was so funny.
Trach care went very easy and Sadbh was fast asleep
not long afterwards.
All
the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh
