Sadbh
slept really well but would not allow Helen cap her trach. On Helen’s third
attempt Sadbh pulled the cap off and said “No! No! No! No! No cap!
At
that point Helen had no choice but to give in and let Sadbh sleep undisturbed
for the remainder of the night.
Sadbh
woke up in a very good mood.
She
greeted Larissa at the door with “I’m going to be sad”. She did not have to
elaborate on why she was going to be sad since today is the second last day
Larissa looks after Sadbh.
They
both had a fun morning playing around the house.
She
wore her cap for almost 4 hours and almost wore it to bed when it came time for
her nap.
She
was full of energy again after two and a half hours and the fun continued as
soon as I arrived home.
She
had me carrying one of her purses while holding her tea set tray and pushing
her toy pram, around and around the house for a half an hour or so. She was
having a wonderful time keeping up with her toy stroller and occasionally she
would insist that I change direction or go into a certain room.
It’s
quite obvious who’s calling all the shots in this family.
Sadbh
was wired to the moon when it came to bedtime. She had no desire to go to sleep
but thankfully we were able to get trach care out of the way beforehand.
It
took forever to get her to sleep and thankfully she fell asleep minutes before Helen arrived.
All
the best,
Wayne,
Katie and Sadbh.
