Sadbh
slept a little better but still no luck wearing her trach cap.
It
was a very gray and damp morning but Sadbh really wanted to play outside.
Larissa tried to make breakfast as quickly as possible however she unfortunately
chose porridge that took half an hour to make.
When
Sadbh saw the porridge she started to ask for Gerdie and talked about eating
the porridge. This was a morning ritual my dad and Sadbh had when he was here
over the past couple of years.
She
had a big hearty breakfast but by the time she was done it was already raining
so she was house bound for the rest of the day.
Nevertheless
she and Larissa had a great morning playing and getting creative with her
crayons and coloring paper.
She
had a restless nap and woke up a number of times throughout.
After
a huge lunch she spent the afternoon playing with doctor and managing trach
care on her dolls.
I
was able to get off work a little earlier than usual so Larissa and I managed
trach care with Sadbh.
She
did not want us to do trach care so after a little coaxing she finally gave in.
I basically told her that it would make mommy very happy if we were able to do
trach care and with that she agreed and allowed us to take care of business.
Thankfully
everything went well and we finished up just in time for Larissa’s shift to
end.
Sophia
arrived home a few minutes later and both girls had a great time playing
ghosts.
Sadbh
received her US passport today so now she can officially travel
internationally. However we have to wait until she is trach free before we can
actually go anywhere.
The
rest of the evening was spent cuddling on the couch and watching The Sound of Music.
Sadbh loves all the songs and was happy singing along.
I
on the other hand am not a fan but I really enjoy listening to Sadbh’s sweet
voice.
Bedtime
was very cute as Sadbh was full of hugs, kisses and “I love yous”’.
All
the best,
Wayne,
Katie and Sadbh.
