Sadbh
woke up well rested after a great night sleep. She was excited to see Jenna as
it was Jenna’s birthday and Sadbh had made her a very nice birthday card last
night before going to bed.
As
soon as Jenna knocked at the door Sadbh went running to greet her. It took her
a moment but soon she was singing “happy birthday” to her. After breakfast she
got to eat a couple of slices of Jenna’s birthday cake.
Sadbh
had a very good day and did not put up a fuss when it came time for trach care.
She wanted to nap afterwards but since it’s been difficult getting her to sleep
these last few days I insisted on some quiet time instead. She was happy
reading books for the first half hour or so but soon grew bored and spent the
rest of the time pacing around her cot.
After
dinner I was watching some videos on home improvement projects and Sadbh was
very interested. She snuggled up next to me and was glued to the monitor.
Bedtime
was very easy and she was like a light in no time at all.
