Sadbh woke up bright and early after a good night. We
checked in on her throughout the night and thankfully this time she did not
fall out of the bed.
After breakfast Sadbh got to Skype with Nana and
Granddad and she modeled her little red riding hood cape that they sent her.
It was Clodagh’s birthday a few weeks ago so we
decided to give her a horse-riding lesson as a birthday present. Since Sadbh
had a lesson today we were able to get Clodagh booked in just after Sadbh.
We also invited Clodagh over for a sleep over to
celebrate Sadbh’s birthday. Sadbh could not wait for her to arrive.
The two kids had a fantastic day and Clodagh was a
natural on the horse. Sadbh was very distracted with having Clodagh there and
lost interest in her lesson after half an hour or so.
Ali-Baba and Kirk came by in the afternoon for some
birthday cake. Both Sadbh and Clodagh had huge slices so it did not take long
for the sugar to kick in.
Clodagh hung out with Sadbh as Katie and I managed
trach care and once we finished up the two girls spent a couple of hours
building two fairy gardens.
Once dinner was devoured it was time to watch Tangled
and by the time the movie was finished they were both very tired and ready for
bed.
This will be the first time that Sadbh will have a
friend sleep in her room with her so hopefully Clodagh will not be too freaked
out with her medical equipment and the constant check ins by Katie and myself
throughout the night.
All
the best,
Wayne, Katie, Sadbh, Cillian and Clodagh.
