Sadbh had a very long day today. To welcome all our guests, we held a get together at an Irish bar and restaurant and Sadbh was in an excellent mood the entire time. She even got to wear her cool pink converse high-tops.
She did have a few moments throughout the day, however we were fortunate to have our nurse on hand to help out, and it didn't take long each time before Sadbh was full of smiles again.
August 10th marks Sadbh's 4 month birthday, and when I reflect on the last four months, I am so impressed on how far she has come along. Not only as a developing baby, but everything she has been through medically. She is one tough cookie and I know in my heart and soul that she will continue to thrive and eventually her vocal cords will develop so she can be decannulated.
The roller coaster of a ride that both Katie and I have shared over the past few months has really thought us the importance of life, what our priorities are, and I really believe that it's shown us how strong we can be, despite the challenges that we have faced and had to overcome.
