Sadbh had a very restless
night so Larissa decided not to cap her trach allowing her to sleep as
comfortably as possible.
Thankfully, she slept
through the night and woke up just after Larissa’s shift ended.
As usual she was thrilled to
see Katie and for the fun and games to start. When she woke up, Katie mentioned
to her that Ali-Baba might stop by to play. Sadbh promptly requested for her wires, tubes and sleep sack
to be removed and insisted on looking for Ali-Baba throughout the house. Unfortunately, Ali-Baba hadn’t arrived
yet, so Sadbh couldn’t find her.
Ali-Baba did stop by later
in the morning, however, and Sadbh was delighted to see her. They had a great
time playing and Ali-Baba wiped Sadbh out in time for trach care.
Sadbh slept for an hour and
a half and woke up hungry and ready for the games to start again.
The weather was terrible so
Sadbh was house bound all day. She did not seem to mind as she had so many toys
out and was enjoying all of them.
After I came home from work
she had me chasing her around the house. She was running like crazy and did not
stop for ages. Since the hole in her trach is so small, 3mm, it was interesting
to see her go for so long and not run out of breath.
After dinner Sadbh was
exhausted and wanted to go to bed. It was hard to get her pajamas on as she was
so floppy and wiggly, but as soon as she settled down it was not long before
she was fast asleep.
She wore her trach cap for a
total of 2 hours and 2 minutes throughout the day today.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
