It seems that Sadbh is over
the worst of her cold and thankfully she had a much better night. She slept
great and Helen did not have to suction at all.
Both Amy and Larissa worked
today and Sadbh was in a very good mood all day.
She was very active and did
require quite a bit of suctioning to clear her trach.
After a busy morning it was
time for her bath and a nap.
Her trach was still very
goopy so Larissa and Amy had to suction another few times.
Since she was somewhat
uncomfortable they decided to forego trach care and allowed Sadbh to sleep on
without any further interruptions.
She slept for a couple of
hours and woke up hungry and ready to play.
After a huge feed she was rearing
to go and had both Amy and Larissa chasing her around the house.
She had a wonderful evening
and when it came time for bedtime we gave her another bath and got her ready
for trach care.
It took over an hour and a
half for Sadbh to settle down and when she finally did we were able to start trach
care.
She woke up half way through
it but she stayed calm and allowed up to finish up without any fuss.
After working hard for three
hours Katie was finally able to get Sadbh off to sleep. Poor Katie was
exhausted by the time she was done.
