Sophia, her father and younger brother arrived late
last night after Sadbh went to bed. They are on their first leg of a month long
camping trip along the west coast and Sadbh was so excited.
She had a great night sleep in her upstairs bedroom. After
she woke up Katie asked “Sadbh, guess who arrived last night and is sleeping in
the basement?” Sadbh responded, “probably Jirapa”
When she realized that Sophia was downstairs she
could not wait to see her.
The two girls spent the morning together and they had
a wonderful time.
I helped Sophia’s father get ready for their trip
while also getting ready for a road trip of our own to Lake Chelan to see
Katie’s brother and his family.
It was a very busy morning but Sadbh and Sophia had
so much fun.
A short time before Sophia’s family hit the road we
found out that one of the guests at Karby’s place in Lake Chelan had a runny
nose. With this news we decided to postpone our trip so as to keep Sadbh from
catching any potential colds.
It was a huge disappointment for us all, including
Katie’s family who were looking forward to seeing us.
Karby and the gang are keeping a close eye on the
situation to see if it is a cold or just sinuses and will let us know in the
morning what the story is. Fingers crossed we will get the green light and will
get to spend a few days with the gang in Lake Chelan.
