Sadbh's update - day 80

Today started off quite bad. After forging our way down the stairs, through the fog of perfume, we discovered that the saline drip bag, that is used to humidify Sadbh's trach collar, was empty. It was a serious effort for both of us, not to completely lose it with the nurse. That's not to say that we didn't read her the riot act.

As soon as the agency opened for business today, Katie and I were on the phone demanding this nurse to be taken off of our case. After yet another dog and pony show, we eventually learned that tonight is the last night we will be working with this nurse.

Still frustrated, Katie contacted the health care provider to see if there was anything they could do to allow us to change our nursing agency, and it looks like they are working hard to help us out.
We immediately contacted a couple of agencies to let them know that they should kick start conversations with the insurance company.

I hope we can get this resolved as soon as possible as it's starting to wear both of us down.

Take care,

Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
