Sadbh's update - day 109

Thursday night was another long night without nurses. Fortunately next weeks schedule is looking a little better and we got word that our nurse from Children's finally received her orientation at the agency today, and the hope is that they can schedule her in as soon as possible.

Our local Farmers Market is held on Friday evenings only a few blocks away from the house. Since we hadn't figured out what we wanted for dinner, Katie and Cammy decided to bring Sadbh for a nice walk, and to see if they could find any inspiration at the market.

As they were waiting to cross the street to the market, a car ran the red light and collided with another car. Fortunately no one was injured, however both cars were wrecked and apparently there were bits and pieces all over the place along with a lot of smoke.

Irene and her team from Big Fish were very generous and gave Sadbh a cute little Angry Bird toy and bunch of lovely baby books, during her visit to Katie's office on Thursday. I'm going to keep the Angry Bird toy close by for a comparison when Princess Angry Bird comes on the scene.

As I had mentioned a few days ago, Katie's aunt Cammy came up from Palo Alto to help us out. I snuck out of work an hour early and when I got home Cammy had painted the back porch. She did an amazing job and we are so grateful.

Things were a little hectic around the house this afternoon as Katie and her mom were about to perform trach care. At that exact same time, the medical equipment service tech arrived to work on the compressor. Unfortunately for him, he had to wait until Sadbh's trach care was completed.

Cammy also made us a fantastic dinner tonight, and Sadbh even got to test out her new bumbo seat while we ate. She didn't last long in it as she was extremely tired.

Have a great weekend.

All the best,

Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
