Sadbh slept surprisingly well despite being upstairs with us and
only woke up a couple of times.
She joined us in bed sometime after 5am and by 7 she was
wide-awake and ready to get up.
Sadbh got to watch Sesame Street after breakfast and was
intrigued with Oscar the grouch.
After she was done with the telly it was time to play hide and
seek.
Nana and Granddad joined in on the fun and Sadbh had a very fun
morning.
Trach care was a little later than usual and Sadbh slept right
through it.
She had a few sores around her neck so we dressed them and
secured her trach tie.
Despite being in a deep sleep she flinched every time we touched
one of her sores. She even said
“owwa” out loud once. It is
heartbreaking to see those sores under the trach ties on her little neck.
Unfortunately, she woke up as soon as she was placed into her
bed so it was back downstairs and time for lunch.
It was a very wet afternoon so we headed off to Northgate Mall
and hoped that Sadbh would fall asleep along the way.
No such luck and shortly after we arrived she wanted to get out
of her stroller.
We bumped into my friend Jen and Sadbh got very shy although I
think she was preoccupied with trying to figure out a way to get out of her
stroller.
Later on when we finally gave in we noticed that her trousers were
down below her bum due to all the wriggling.
She was fascinated with all the shoe shops at the mall and she
tried her best to go into each and every one of them.
Obviously I need to find other exciting things to do with Sadbh
on wet days other than going to the mall.
We even bumped into Granddad, Nana and Ali-Baba up at the mall
and Sadbh could not stop smiling. It was hilarious as she was using her camera
pose smile.
She finally fell asleep on the trip home so we had to be as
gentle as possible when taking her out of the car. She did not stay asleep for
long and was soon wide-awake and full of energy again.
Since she had such a late nap, it was 9pm before she finally
fell asleep.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
