Despite
the clocks changing last night and gaining an extra hour sleep, Sadbh slept
right through until 6am. She was in a very good mood when she woke up and
wanted to join Mommy in bed for a snuggle.
We
tried to get her to go back to sleep but there was no chance of that happening.
It
was a beautiful sunny day and we had hoped to get out to enjoy the day however
Katie and I had a lot of work to do around the house.
Sadbh
did not mind and had a great time playing with her toys.
She
even got to Skype with my family back in Cork and as soon as she saw Granddad
on the screen she responded with, “Granddad, I miss you so much”. She then called out for Nana and when
Nana came on, she was quick to tell her she missed her too.
She’s
been fighting us on trach care in the past few weeks but once we get her
swaddled up she usually gives in. It was the same today and moments after we
finished up she fell asleep in Mommy’s arms.
In
the afternoon Ali-Baba stopped by to play with Sadbh. Sadbh was over the moon
to see her and they both had a lot of fun.
By
7pm Sadbh was delirious and was bouncing off the walls. We waited as long as
possible before putting her to bed but had to give in by 7:30. She was soon
sleeping soundly in Mommy’s arms.
