Sadbh woke up looking for Mommy around two and when
she was told that Mommy was fast asleep she started to ask for Sophia.
Unfortunately she would not go back to sleep so Katie had to go down to comfort
her for almost an hour until she dropped back to sleep.
She slept in until after half past eight and was a
little grumpy at first. She did not want me but after a bout of tickles she
came around.
After breakfast we headed over to West Seattle to
pick up our friend Theresa and then we headed down to Alki Beach. Sadbh was all
excited to get into the water but was shocked with the frigged waters of the
Puget Sound.
Theresa, Sadbh and Sophia had a wonderful time
building sand castles and they got help from a couple of other kids around
Sadbh’s age.
A couple of hours later it was time to head home.
Sadbh was happy to take a bath before trach care and I was able to wash off all
the extra sand that managed to find it’s way up towards her neck and in her
hair.
Later this evening Sadbh, Mommy and Sophia went out
to hang out with the neighbors for the neighborhood block party. Sadbh was
lucky to be able to smash the piñata and was over the moon when all the sweets
came flying out. She also loved the water balloons and one of the neighbor kids was especially helpful teaching Sadbh how to fill and burst them.
She had a wonderful evening with all the neighbor
kids and when it came time for bed she was out within seconds.
All
the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh
