Jirapa’s first night seemed to go well and Sadbh
slept soundly through the night.
She slept until eight but was not happy when I walked
into her room. She was expecting Mommy with her glasses and hair in braids.
(Sadbh associates Katie wearing her glasses and hair tied up in braids with the
weekend and time for the two of them to spend together)
I had to calm her down so I could unhook all her
equipment so she could head up to spend the morning with Katie.
Ali-Baba and Kirk came over for lunch and to help
with trach care. Sadbh was excited to see them both and brought up her Lego’s
to show everyone.
I had to run down to Costco to pick up some photos
and despite trying to make it a quick stop Sadbh really wanted to check out the
toy section. Since we were there I picked up a ginger bread house and Sadbh
could not wait to get home to put it together. Then she wanted to eat it.
The rest of the evening was spent building the ginger
bread house and having fun. Sadbh was in a great mood and when it came time to
go to bed she was wiped out.
All
the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh
