Sadbh was a little restless during the night but her
temperature was normal and she woke up very happy at half past seven.
Despite being slightly groggy, Sadbh’s energy level
was in full force and I have to admit that it was exhausting for me as I was
expected to keep up with her.
Today I had to pretend to be Puss in Boots from Shrek
fame. It was cute and she had a wonderful time. In fact, it entertained her all
day.
In the afternoon Sadbh was starting to get tired but
she resisted any opportunity to take a nap.
We hopped into the car and headed down to Seward Park
for another walk. She was out like a light moments after leaving the house and
once we arrived at the park it was easy to transfer her into the stroller.
They are doing all sorts of repairs at the park so
the trail along the waters edge was closed off in parts. We followed the detour
up into the woods and soon Sadbh was awake and demanding that I push the
stroller faster so we could go to the park. She enjoyed being princess and was
amazed at how dense the wood’s was.
When we arrived at the playground she got to ride a
few of her favorite things, like the seesaw and the zip line.
Back at home it was time for a bath and then dinner.
By now she was getting very tired and started to fuss. We were able to talk her
into sitting down to eat and once she got some food in her belly she became
much more pleasant. Funny thing is that she was not hungry, as she had been
snacking all day. It seems that she might be catching up on food as her health
improves.
Bedtime was a doddle and she was fast asleep in no
time at all.
All
the best,
Wayne, Katie, Sadbh and Cillian
