Before Sadbh went to sleep last night, she had a
slight limp. She was so tired,
that we didn’t think much of it.
She slept great all night, but when she woke up, she immediately started
complaining about her right leg.
Even the promise of snuggles with Ali-baba wasn’t enough to get Sadbh to
walk on her leg.
So the entire day was spent on the couch. Every time
her leg was moved, she cried in agony.
Going to the bathroom was horrible, moving her leg one inch was painful.
We called the on-call nurse practitioner. It didn’t seem like the situation
warranted a visit to the ER, so we will help keep Sadbh comfortable through the
night and call her pediatric doctor in the morning.
Sadbh fell asleep easy enough, but shortly after
dozing off, she was crying in her sleep and writhing in pain. After about 10 minutes, she settled
down. Hopefully she will sleep ok
through the night.
It is the strangest thing. The situation is very similar to the pain that Sadbh had
with her last virus in July. At
that time, the pain was in her neck, but she spent the whole day in bed and the
pain went away the following day.
Hopefully, this will resolve tomorrow, but it is still a very strange
and sad.
