Before Sadbh went to bed
last night we gave her a homeopathic remedy of Pulsatilla 200. Apparently she
had a somewhat ok sleep but woke up trembling a few times during the night.
Each time she dropped back to sleep after being comforted by Helen and ended up
sleeping until shortly before 7am.
She was quite happy lying in her bed for a while by herself and after
about 15 minutes, she finally called out for “mammy”.
Sadbh had a very busy
morning and after breakfast she helped Amy and Larissa to bake cookies.
Unfortunately, they burned a few but were able to produce a tasty batch for
everyone to enjoy.
Soon it was time for Sadbh’s
bath and after she was dried off she allowed Larissa and Amy to carry out trach
care. They seem to have gotten the routine down quite well and as long as Sadbh
cooperates everything goes well.
She slept for almost two and
a half hours and woke up hungry for cookies.
After a big lunch she
received a cookie for desert and was so pleased with herself.
The evening was playing hide
and seek and running around with only one sock on. Occasionally she would take
off running through the house only to hide behind one of the chairs in the
dining room. When I would ask “where is Sadbh”, she would answer “I’m hiding”
even though I was in the room looking for her. It was so funny to watch her
scurry away each time.
Bedtime took forever and she
had no interest in going to sleep. She was extremely chatty and came up with
every excuse in the book not to go to sleep.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
