Sadbh had a much better night sleep and woke up not long
after Danielle left. Katie had taken over from Danielle and Sadbh was very
happy to see her.
Sophia’s friend, Maxi, was visiting from Vancouver and we
all headed over to Easy Street in West Seattle for breakfast. It was a
beautiful day so we took a walk through the farmers market while we waited for
our table.
After breakfast we headed down to Alki beach for a walk and
Sadbh got to throw stones into the water. She had a lot of fun and she filled
her pockets with small rocks before leaving the beach.
Sadbh’s cousins came up from Portland for a quick visit and
Sadbh could not wait for their arrival. Katie and I managed trach care and our
timing was perfect as they arrived just as we finished up.
Sadbh was over the moon to see her cousins and as you could
imagine the rest of the evening was spent having so much fun. Ali-Baba and Kirk
even joined in.
After dinner Sadbh got stuck into a nice big slice of
chocolate cake. It did not take long for the sugar to kick in and soon Sadbh
was like the Tasmanian devil running around the house.
It was a riot and the excitement in the house with all the
cousins and visitors reached fever pitch at bedtime.
Sadbh tried to sing her favorite night time song, “So long,
farewell” but was so delirious and she could not remember the words. Needless
to say she was fast asleep in no time.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
