Sadbh
slept like a log and woke up around half past seven. She only wanted Mommy and
was delighted when Katie took over ten minutes later.
Sadbh’s
nurse supervisor, Caity, came by to recertify Sadbh. Sadbh was delighted to see
her and wanted to show off some of her toys. Especially Kipper and her horses.
It
was a beautiful day so after Sadbh had a quick snack we headed off up to
Capitol Hill for a walk. Sadbh took her time so our walk was very leisurely.
Since
the sun was shining Sadbh wore her sunglasses but she insisted on wearing her
winter jacket. At one point I was starting to swelter so I took my jacket
off. Sadbh did not like this one
bit and got very cranky until I put by jacket back on again.
On
the way home we stopped off for an gelato and when asked what flavor she wanted
Sadbh asked for “pink ice cream”. Unfortunately she did not really care much
for her strawberry sorbet and consequently devoured my gelato instead.
The
rest of Sadbh’s evening was spent playing with Sophia and having a very fun
time.
After
dinner it was time for a bath, which she really enjoyed and as soon as she was
dried off and in her pajamas she fell fast asleep instantly.
Katie
and I were able to manage trach care very quickly since Sadbh was asleep and
thankfully she did not budge once throughout.
