Despite
such an active day Sadbh slept great and did not wake until after 7. She was in
a very good mood when she woke up and I was able to cap her trach straight
away.
Once
she was unhooked from all her equipment we headed up to visit Katie.
The
day started off nice and sunny but by the time we were finished with breakfast
the rain clouds had rolled in and it was coming down hard.
Sadbh
did not mind so I got all her trach care set up and Katie and Granddad managed
trach care.
As
soon as we were done we headed up north to Mt. Vernon to check out the tulip
festival. Sadbh fell asleep in the car and slept with her trach cap on for
almost an hour. I eventually changed the cap for a humidifier nose to give her
a break as she was starting to work harder to breathe.
She
woke up as soon as we arrived at a tulip farm. She was so excited when she saw
the fields of beautiful flowers but because it was so muddy she did not get a
chance to go down to check them out.
We
headed to a local nursery and she got to pick out a couple of tulip bouquets
and was so proud as we headed back to the car.
All
the best,
Wayne,
Katie and Sadbh.
