First
thing out for Sadbh’s mouth this morning was “can I go down and wake Nana and
Granddad up? I had to remind her that they were not arriving until tonight so
she would have to wait until tomorrow morning to go wake them up.
We
both had a fun morning. Sadbh got busy making a nice big mess with finger
paints and after that we read about twelve books. Every time I finished one she
would grab a handful more books.
After
Sophia arrived home from school we loaded up the car and headed to Katie’s work
so Sadbh and Sophia could get a tour. Sadbh was delighted to see Mommy. On the
way in they bumped into McDivot, one of the companies mascots. Sadbh was very
shy but stood in for a few photos nevertheless.
Sadbh
met quite a few of Katie’s colleagues and she even got to chat with Grace’s
dad, Curtis. Sadbh shares her birthday with Curtis and told everyone that for
her birthday she wants to be put into a balloon and blown up really big. No
idea where she got that idea from and I have no idea if it’s even possible to
fulfill such a request.
When
it came time to leave Sadbh got upset when she learned that Mommy was not
coming home with us but got over it very quickly when Mommy gave her a bowl of
snacks to eat.
She
had a fun evening with Sophia and was wiped out when it came time for dinner.
It was quite the effort to get her fed but we managed and before long it was
time for trach care and bed.
Sadbh
was very giddy just before trach care but thankfully calmed down when she
needed to and fell asleep not long after we finished up.
She’s
going to be in for some treat tomorrow morning when she get’s to wake Nana and
Granddad up.
