Sadbh slept great through the night, and only needed to be suctioned once.
She slept sound from 8:30pm, until 7am.
As you could imagine, she was starving when she woke up, so Katie did not hesitate in serving breakfast. After Sadbh was done eating, she was ready to go back to sleep, when all of a sudden she had a coughing fit, and ended up getting sick all over herself, Katie and her bed.
Everything had to be changed, and after all the excitement, Sadbh was ready to play.
Destiny was working again today, so Sadbh had a great doing the rounds for playtime.

Wednesday 21st March 2012
“Sadbh had a lovely long sleep last night, and didn’t wake up until around 7am. Unfortunately after Mummy fed her, she barfed it all up again.
Usually, she sleeps after Mummy’s pie in the morning, but today she wanted to play. So after cereal and bananas, some playtime with Nini & Destiny & Granddad, Sadbh takes a well-earned nap at 9am.
She sleeps until 10:30.
Nini fed her 5oz of Momma’s milk, and afterwards Sadbh had some freshly stewed apples & pear with cereal.
Loads of playtime, even a walk in the garden, ensures that Sadbh is ready for a bath at 13:15. 13:30 fast asleep and trach care goes without a hitch. Stats very good 98/114 (Blood Oxygen Level/Heart Rate).
15:25 Sadbh is certainly enjoying her naps today, now she is ready for another bottle of mummy’s best.
More playtime with Nini & Destiny, then Sadbh orders her favorite chicken & carrot in the Green Spoon Restaurant. Still a bit peckish, she finishes with half an avocado, mashed.
16:30 Daddy arrives home and Sadbh has some fun time with him.
Mommy arrives home at 19:10 and feeds Sadbh pea & carrot soup, then stewed apple & pear. Oh-oh, second vomit today, Sadbh brought back up all her pea & carrot soup and stewed apple & pear.
We suspect as Sadbh was munching a small piece of cheese during feeding, that one or more pieces got stuck in her throat and made her vomit.
Afterwards she was all smiles and had some more food, apple & pear – carrot – onion – celery – tomato”.
Sadbh had a great day today, and was full of happiness and smiles. It seems that she is finally over the worst of her cold.
Occasionally she has fits of coughing, and if she has just been fed, she usually get’s sick.
Bedtime was a little later than usual tonight, and she got to wear the cutest two piece pajamas. We were just about to bundle her up, when she had a huge coughing fit, and before we could suction her trach, she got sick everywhere.
Worst of all, she got sick into her trach and ended up covering the poly-membrane and trach ties.
Katie quickly suctioned her trach, and despite it being well past her bedtime, we had to manage trach care, for the second time today.
It took a while to get her settled in and off to sleep, but once she was asleep, trach care was very quick.
It ended up being a stressful evening, however Sadbh was happy and comfortable, so I suppose that’s all that matters.
