Sadbh slept right through until 5am, and went back to sleep after a quick snack.
Around 8am, I felt a tapping on my shoulder, and there was Sadbh with the biggest smile when I turned around.
She was in a very happy mood and was full of fun.
During breakfast, Sadbh started making the baby sign for banana and it was very impressive.
Trach care was very straightforward today, since she had missed her morning nap and was exhausted tired.
As soon as we were done with trach care, we brought her upstairs to her cot in our room, and she slept on for another hour.
As my father watched over Sadbh on the baby monitor while she slept, he noticed that she was pointing in the air making the no gesture, all while sleeping.
When she finally woke up, it was time for lunch and then we were off to the Space Needle to see the Angry Bird attached to the side of it. It was like Princess Angry Bird meets Angry Bird, however we could not find Princess Angry Bird anywhere.
Once done checking out the Angry Bird display, we were off to Greenlake for a walk.
It was a beautiful day, and Sadbh was in her element checking out everything. It was great to see how happy she was and she just kept smiling and waving at everyone.
We always seem to bump into our friends Barry and Heather with their two dogs when at Greenlake, and today was no exception. Interestingly, Sadbh started to make the baby sign for dog.
It was after 5 by the time we got home, and since Sadbh had not napped since trach care, we had to work to keep her awake until her bedtime.
It was fairly easy at first since she got to Skype with her cousins in New Zealand, and got to see her cousin Conor, dressed as a leprechaun with his green beard that he wore on St. Patrick’s day.
When bedtime finally arrived, she had no problem falling to sleep and was out for the count in no time whatsoever.
Nini has received the seal of approval from Sadbh, as she received a big wet, open mouth kiss from Sadbh today.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
