Sadbh slept well, but got wedged in the corner of her cot and ended up waking up shortly after 1am. We couldn’t find her binky quick enough, so Katie had to give her a quick snack to comfort her.
She slept great until 5 and then woke up for breakfast.
Then it was back to sleep until 6:30, another quick snack before going back to sleep until 7:50.
Sadbh had a great day playing with Granddad. He is fantastic with Sadbh and knows exactly what she wants, and when she wants it.
Granddad’s last entry into the journal today is as follows.
Monday 26TH March, 2012
Nini takes over today, so Au Revoir mon enfant, my darling Sadbh. XXXX
It was a very sad and emotional farewell at the airport today. Both my father and mother have sacrificed so much for the past six months to help us out caring for Sadbh.
Last Friday, the nursing agency had one of their coordinators come by the house for their monthly recertification and after going through their infant development tests with Sadbh, determined that she is almost 3 months ahead in her development.
We believe that Granddad was instrumental in Sadbh’s development and, without his help, Sadbh would not have made as much progress.
We are eternally grateful for everything my parents have done for Sadbh and us, and consider ourselves so very lucky.
Thank you mom and dad, we love you both so much!
Thankfully, they will be back in two weeks for Sadbh’s birthday.
