Sadbh slept with a PMV for a couple of hours but
became restless shortly after midnight. Helen decided to switch it out for a
trach guard so she could get a good night sleep.
She woke up shortly before half seven and wanted
Mommy immediately. After unhooking all her equipment we headed upstairs and
this made Sadbh extremely happy.
After Mommy left for work, Sadbh and I got busy
playing and reading books. We had a wonderful morning and when it came time for
lunch we headed downtown to meet a friend of mine for something to eat.
Sadbh had met Marcus a few times before but for some
reason she could not remember him.
She was bored out of her mind but thankfully she was
patient and hung out while we had lunch.
Afterwards Sadbh and I headed down to the market for
a walk and this she enjoyed. We listened to buskers, watched the flying fish
and even checked out the bubble gum wall. Sadbh really enjoyed herself and
before we left she picked out a nice bouquet of flowers for Mommy.
She was getting sleepy on the way home but since I
had promised her ice cream we stopped off for a cone. She was delighted with
herself.
The rest of her afternoon was interesting as she
resisted taking a nap despite being completely exhausted. Eventually she fell
asleep but because it was so late in the day I woke her up after an hour.
She was still very tired but we spent the next hour
or so playing hide and seek and we took turns pretending to be monsters while
chasing each other.
By bedtime she was delirious but still would not go
to sleep. It took forever and she finally fell asleep.
