Katie and I took turns checking on Sadbh throughout
the night. We had to untangle her from her equipment, drain water from her
humidifier hose and reset her Oximeter every time it alarmed.
Sadbh slept great and was up bright and early at half
past six in the morning.
We had a fun day planned for Sadbh and after
breakfast we headed out to Snoqualmie Falls for a horse-riding lesson. Sadbh
was a little cranky this morning so she took a nap in the car as we headed to
the horse farm.
Sadbh could not believe her eyes when she woke up and
saw the horses in the barn.
Shortly after meeting her horse, Jamie, Sadbh got to
groom and learn how to clean Jamie’s hooves. Jamie is 22 years old and spent most of her time with special
needs kids so she was a perfect horse for Sadbh.
She was very attentive and also learned how to walk
behind Jamie while tapping her hind legs gently so as to let Jamie know where
she was and not to startle her.
Next it was off to the riding paddock for the rest of
her riding lesson.
Sadbh was a natural and even mounted Jamie without
any difficulty.
It was amazing to watch Sadbh riding the horse and
how quickly she was able to learn.
The rest of the day was fun and Sadbh was beaming
with excitement from her experience.
Later in the evening our friends Neil and Denise came
by for dinner. When Sadbh heard this she was happy and told Mommy that she
really likes Denise.
Bedtime took a little while but after some snuggles
with Mommy she was soon fast asleep.
All
the best,
Wayne, Katie, Sadbh and Cillian
