Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.
We got to Skype with the grandparents back in Cork for over an hour today, and it was such a delight for my parents. The last time they got to see Sadbh, she was on the ventilator and was heavily sedated, today she was extremely alert and happy. Serious improvements between then and now.
Sadbh also got to meet Andrew and Erin this evening and was serenaded by Andrew.
Sadbh's feeding is improving every day. So much so, she even pulled her nasal feeding tube out today to prove that she doesn't need it any longer. Once she's on the boob 100% of the time, Katie will have to stay at her bedside 24/7.
I suppose, part of good feeding comes the occasional barfing. I received my first "barf on shoulder" earlier on in the day, and later this evening, Erin and Andrew witnessed Sadbh's first projectile barf. Everything was cleaned up within no time and all was good with the world.
