Sadbh had a great night sleep and
Larissa only had to suction four times throughout the night.
Thanks to Larissa, Katie and I also
got a good night sleep and this allowed Katie to get the much-deserved rest to
allow her to get better.
Sadbh formed a sentence this morning
after she woke up. When she saw Larissa, she did the baby sign for “Mommy more
sleep”.
She was excited to see Katie and I
when we came into the room and after nursing, it was time to play for an hour
or so.
She had a great time playing and
reading a whole bunch of books that my parents sent over for Christmas.
She was ready for her first nap of
the day by 7am and did not budge until 9:30.
She had a huge appetite and devoured
her breakfast.
Nadia was working today and since
Sadbh was feeling a little better, they all headed out for a walk.
This did wonders for Sadbh and she
enjoyed every minute of being outside.
It was time to head home for trach
care after a couple of hours and as soon as they arrived home, it was time for
Sadbh to have her bath.
She really enjoyed her bath and while
Nadia was drying her off, she decided to pee on poor Nadia.
Trach care went well for the most
part, however at one point Sadbh had a serious coughing fit. Nini and Nadia
were able to keep her calm and more importantly asleep.
She had a nice long sleep afterwards
and woke up in a great mood.
She had a big lunch and once she was
finished, it was time for the fun and games to start.
Sadbh was definitely in a much better
mood than the last couple of days.
She still needed to be suctioned a
number of times throughout the day, but all in all she is well on the road to
recovery.
Bedtime was very stressful tonight,
as Sadbh would not go to sleep. She would doze off, but then would wake up and
want to play. This went on for almost two hours and eventually she drifted off
shortly after Larissa started her shift.
She was still very restless, so hopefully
she will end up getting a good night sleep.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
