Sadbh had yet another restless night
sleep, but fortunately she did not require much suctioning.
She joined us in bed shortly after
midnight and I found myself having approximately one foot of space to sleep on
for the rest of the night. Between both women, I have completely lost my
placement in my bed.
That said, Katie ends up sleeping
with Sadbh’s wires and humidifying hoses wrapped around her, so I think we have
both lost to Sadbh’s dominance.
We headed up to Capitol Hill to take
care of our grocery shopping for the week, and Sadbh had the easiest role to
play in the whole task. She enjoyed the sunshine and the ability to flirt with
everyone she met along the way.
She was ready for her nap when we
arrived home so it was a perfect time to start her bath and get her ready for
trach care.
She had a nice long nap and after she
woke up she had a quick lunch and it was time to head out on the lake for a
spot of boating.
Aidan, Brian, Dee and Neil joined us
for the trip and both he and Sadbh were in their element.
One of the customs of boating is to
wave at other boaters and Sadbh seemed to have this figured out right from the
start. She could not stop waving at everyone she saw out on the lake, and she
was thrilled when everyone waved back to her.
Sadbh had a wonderful day and she
seemed to benefit from being out in the sunshine rather being cooped up inside
the house.
Her cough has improved over the past
few nights and by bedtime tonight she dropped off to sleep without any fuss.
We all had a great day and hopefully Sadbh
will continue to have a great night.
Take care,
Wayne, Katie and Princess Sadbh.
