Sadbh
tolerated her trach cap for over four hours during two sessions throughout the
night. The first session lasted until after midnight and by then she was
working hard to breathe. Her next session was a few hours later and lasted
almost an hour.
She
woke up in a great mood just as Helen was getting ready to leave. At first she
was pretending to be sleeping but eventually she gave the game away when I
caught her giggling.
We
had her homeopathic appointment this morning with Dr. Krista and Sadbh had a
fantastic time running through Krista’s garden and checking out the baby fish
in her pond.
Krista
was impressed with the recent night-time developments and is researching a new
remedy for Sadbh with these new changes.
After
lunch Sadbh and I headed up to Capitol Hill for a walk. It was a beautiful day
and the streets were extremely busy with all sorts of interesting things to
look at. From school busses to fire engines to construction sites with all
sorts of exciting equipment. As you could imagine it took us forever to get
where we needed to be. Sadbh eventually got very tired and passed out in her
stroller. She slept with her cap for half an hour before I removed it since she
had a lot of air leaking through her stoma and not through her nose and mouth.
As
soon as I removed the cap she got a lot more comfortable.
The
rest of the evening was spent playing with three new dolls I bought her as a
treat along the way. She was surprised to see them when she woke up, as she was
fast asleep when I got them.
When
it came time for bed she tucked her new dolls in bed with her and asked if she
could have her trach cap taken off. We asked if she would keep the trach cap on
and she reluctantly agreed to but it came off a short while later until she
fell asleep where we put it back on.
All
the best,
Wayne,
Katie and Sadbh.
