Helen
kept a very close eye on Sadbh last night and Sadbh managed to wear her trach
for seven and a half hours over numerous sessions.
Every
time Sadbh’s chest would start to retract Helen would remove the trach cap and
give her a break for a few minutes until Sadbh relaxed again. Sadbh did
fantastic and woke up in a great mood just in time to catch Mommy before she
headed out to work.
We
had a great day and had a lovely picnic out in the sunny garden.
One
of her new ponies arrived today and she was delighted with herself when she
realized it was Peachy Pie. I’m finding it very disturbing that I’m starting to
become very familiar with the names of these little ponies.
Two
of Sadbh’s caterpillars have morphed into butterflies and she spent ages today
examining them in their habitat. There are three more caterpillars waiting to emerge
from their cocoons.
As
soon as Mommy arrived home from work we got trach care out of the way.
Sadbh
had a fun evening and was very tired when it came time for bed.
She
tried her hardest to go to sleep with her trach cap on but in the end she could
not do it so Katie switched it with a guard and she fell asleep in seconds.
All
the best,
Wayne,
Katie and Sadbh.
