Sadbh
was not as cooperative last night and gave Helen a run for her money. It was a
battle of the wills however Helen was able to cap Sadbh for over five and a
half hours throughout the night.
Sadbh
was in a very good mood when she woke up but she did need quite a bit of
suctioning. Her airway was goopy but it did not take long before I was able to
clear her trach.
Sadbh
had a play date with her friends Conor and Aibhin later in the morning and she
could not wait until they arrived.
The
three kids had a lot of fun in the back garden. Sadbh brought out some of her
ponies and was good at sharing, for the most part.
When
Conor and Aibhin left Sadbh was getting tired however she had no intention of
taking a nap. She had worked up an appetite so it was time for lunch and for
the fun and games to continue.
Later
when it was time for reading Sadbh passed out in my arms. She only lasted half
an hour before she was sound asleep so I decided to take a nap too.
She
actually napped for over an hour and a half and when she woke up she got a big
fright. I picked her up to comfort her and she ended up peeing all over me.
Poor kid was totally out of it and did not laugh when I pretended that it was
me who had the accident.
Sadbh
was excited to see Mommy arrive home and did no fuss when we got trach care
under way.
After
dinner we headed out to water the vegetables and rest of the garden. Sadbh
found two of the smallest strawberries in the world and brought them up to me
to show them off. She ate one and decided to keep the other for breakfast. I
suppose you wouldn’t want to fill up too much before bedtime.
Unfortunately
Sadbh’s afternoon nap prevented her from falling asleep anywhere close to her
usual bedtime and by the time Helen arrived Sadbh was still wide-awake.
