Sadbh
slept for a couple of hours with her trach cap on but we noticed her chest was
retracting quite a bit so we pulled the cap off to give her a break.
Danielle
capped Sadbh’s trach a couple more times throughout the night but it did not
last long each time.
Sadbh
had a tough start to the day when she fell out of bed around 5am. Danielle put
her back in bed and comforted her until she stopped crying and fell back to
sleep. Katie and I were very surprised that she fell out of the bed, especially
since there was someone sitting in the room next to her. We were disappointed
that we were not called down when it happened.
When
Sadbh finally woke up she started coughing like crazy. After a while she threw
up but thankfully she was in very good spirits.
This
happened a number of times throughout the morning and it seems like she was
working hard to clear some secretions from deep in her lungs. She was also complaining that her belly
hurt, so maybe she was fighting a small bug.
Today
is Nini’s birthday so Sadbh wanted to wish her a happy birthday. Mommy recorded
a video of Sadbh singing and sent it to Nini, it was very cute.
Overall
Sadbh had a lazy but fun day. She took a nap with Mommy at one point and woke
up well rested and with a big appetite.
From that point on, she seemed fine. No more coughing and no more belly ache.
It
was Katie’s company party tonight and since Sadbh was doing much better this
evening we left Sadbh with Su-Jin.
Sadbh
was looking forward to seeing Su-Jin all day and when she arrived she was
excited to show off all of her dolls and horses.
Sadbh
and Su-Jin had a lovely evening and bedtime came a little later than usual.
Sadbh
finally fell asleep with her cap on and she lasted just over an hour.
