Sadbh
managed only 4 hours last night and it was quite the effort. She woke up
shortly before eight and was still very sleepy.
We
had an appointment with Sadbh’s cranial sacral doctor, Dr. Cavanaugh, this
morning and Sadbh was very cooperative.
He
could tell that her diaphragm was compressed from having to work harder to
breathe so he focused on releasing that along with the muscles around her neck
and her vocal cords.
Sadbh
and I had a wonderful day and after her doctors visit we headed to the
playground down by Garfield High School. Sadbh is getting so much better on the
monkey bars and all the other activities on the playground.
She
was wiped out by the time we got home and fell into a nice deep sleep after a
bath. She slept for over an hour and a half with her trach cap on.
Later
in the evening we headed over to Wallingford to meet up with some friends for a
picnic. Sadbh was thrilled to get to play with Clodagh, Cormac, Ixchel and
Aidan.
Bedtime
was not so easy and it took Sadbh forever to get to sleep. She finally fell
asleep almost half an hour after Danielle arrived and it was just in time as I
was running out of things to say to Danielle.
All
the best,
Wayne,
Katie and Sadbh.
