Sadbh
tolerated having her trach capped for five and a half hours over a number of
sessions. She woke up very sleepy and decided to hang out in bed for a while.
We both got to snuggle for twenty minutes or so before getting ready for
breakfast.
Sadbh
was in a great mood all morning and was excited to hear that Ali-Baba was
coming by for a visit. First we headed out for a walk to the playground down
the street where Sadbh had a fantastic time. She is getting so much braver and
was climbing to the top and sliding down the slide all by herself.
We
hung out for almost an hour and it took some convincing to get her to leave.
Ali-Baba
showed up with a gift shortly after we arrived home and Sadbh could not wait.
We got trach care out of the way first and as soon as we finished Sadbh
received yet another pony. Yesterday she was talking about wanting “Apple Jack”
pony and coincidentally this is the same pony that Ali-Baba got for her.
Needless to say, Sadbh was over the moon and could not believe her good luck.
This
evening we headed up to Ali-Baba and Kirk’s new place for dinner. Sadbh was
dressed up in her princess dress with a pair of hiking boots and looking very
cute.
Katie
met us there and Sadbh could not wait to show off her new pony. She got to meet
loads of Ali-Baba’s neighbors and was introduced as Princess Anna. It was a
funny evening.
She
was pooped by the time we got home so it did not take long to get her off to
sleep.
