Sadbh
managed to tolerate her trach being capped for just over four hours over
numerous sessions throughout the night. She woke up before Helen’s shift ended
and was happy sitting chatting with Helen until Katie went down to take over.
Sadbh
had a fun morning playing and hanging out with Poppy but soon it was time to
head to the airport so he could catch his flight.
Katie
and I were able to get trach care out of the way before we left and shortly
after Sadbh got into the car she fell asleep.
Poppy
gave her a big kiss without waking her.
She
was very sad when she finally woke up and realized that Poppy was gone. They
both had a great time together over the past few days.
Later
in the evening Sadbh’s friends Clodagh and Cormac came by for a play date.
Sadbh could not wait to show them her new house out in the garden and the three
kids had a brilliant time.
After
dinner Clodagh pretended to be a horse and asked Sadbh to climb on her back. It
was hilarious to watch Clodagh going around the house with Sadbh and I was
surprised how strong Clodagh was.
Sadbh
did not want them to leave but it was getting close to bedtime and Sadbh was
very tired from her busy day.
Going
to sleep was much easier tonight than last night and Sadbh was fast asleep long
before Helen arrived.
All
the best,
Wayne,
Katie and Sadbh.
