Sadbh had a good night sleep and only
woke up once to be suctioned. For some reason her airway was very dry, but we
dropped some saline into her trach to moisten it up so she could sleep on for
another couple of hours.
She finally woke up just after 6:30am
and was standing in her cot with a huge smile on her face. After a quick feed,
we all fell back to sleep until 8am.
Sadbh’s morning was spent eating
breakfast and taking turns playing with everyone.
It was a gorgeous day and she got to
spend time out in the garden checking out the flowers and the airplanes flying
overhead.
By noon, Sadbh was tired and ready
for trach care. Katie and Nini took care of business and Sadbh slept for almost
and hour and a half. Once she woke up, Katie and I packed up the car and we
headed over to Ali-Baba’s house.
Sadbh had so much fun with Ali-Baba.
They played non-stop for almost 3 hours. It was very obvious that Sadbh was
having so much fun checking out all the new things at Ali-Baba’s house. Apart
from the big smile on her face, her cheeks were also bright red.
We were celebrating Sadbh’s godmother
Suzie’s birthday tonight, so Nini and Chris offered to babysit.
Sadbh was very happy with that
arrangement and we are confident that Nini has everything under control.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
