Sadbh was constipated last night when she went to bed and had quite a few moments of discomfort throughout the night.
Around 3:30, Sadbh was awake in pain. Katie noticed that Sadbh was trying desperately to have a poo and she had the saddest expression on her face. After a small snack, she slept on until 6:30.
At that time, Sadbh was successful at taking care of business, although it seemed to be very upsetting.
It was obviously exhausting and she fell back to sleep until 8.
Sadbh’s day was filled with fun playing with Nini, Chris and her nurse Nadia.
Nadia is really working out well and has been teaching Sadbh so many new things. Today she taught her the sign for red and how the birds fly. Nadia was even rewarded with a kiss from Sadbh for everything she learned today.
It was a very exciting morning and just before noon Sadbh started to get sleepy. It was time for a bath and then trach care. Sadbh woke up very cranky after only an hour of sleeping.
Nini was quick to comfort her and before she knew it, Sadbh was back to sleep for another two hours.
Sadbh impressed both Katie and myself this evening by doing the baby sign for book. We could not resist reading her a story before getting ready her ready for bed.
Other than learning the baby sign for boat over the weekend, Sadbh also learned the sign for poop.
By the end of the day, Sadbh had 5 poops and went to bed a very happy little girl.
