Sadbh did not have a nurse last
night, so she slept upstairs with us again.
She had a great night for the most
part and joined us in bed only after we realized that her airway was a little
drier than it should have been.
It did not cause her any discomfort,
but she does have to work a little harder to breath when her airway dries out.
I had an early start this morning and
fortunately Sadbh was still fast asleep when I left.
In fact, she slept right through
until 7:30am with only one late night snack during the night.
Once Sadbh was awake, she was very
eager to get the day started.
Molly was working today, so Sadbh was
very excited to have two people to play with for the day.
At one point Sadbh wanted to eat
Molly’s toes and she had a blast with all the excitement that she caused.
She was in a great mood all morning
and was dancing non-stop to the music from her toys.
By noon, Sadbh was exhausted tired
and this allowed Nini and Molly to manage trach care without any difficulty.
Sadbh slept right through until
2:10pm and she was starving once she woke up.
After lunch, it was time for a walk
through the neighborhood and Sadbh really enjoyed being outside in the warm
sunshine.
I think it was good for Nini and
Molly to get out of the house for a while also.
I made it home just in time to take
over for Molly and Sadbh was still in a great mood. You could tell that she was
getting tired, but she had no desire to go to bed.
Nini had an appointment downtown this
evening, so I had some great bonding time with Sadbh.
It was a beautiful evening, so I sat
out on the front steps with Sadbh as we waiting for Katie to arrive home. Just
as we did, our next door neighbor stopped by with his little puppy.
At first, Sadbh was keen on seeing
this little pup, but as she got closer, Sadbh got very upset. Poor Pat felt
terrible, but I think it was more to do with the fact that Sadbh was exhausted
tired.
When it came time to go to bed, Sadbh
was ready and she dropped off to sleep very quickly.
She has been very gassy all evening,
and we have heard the occasional toot over the baby monitor.
Larissa is back on tonight and I fear
that she might have to open a window or two if Sadbh keeps those farts up.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
