Sadbh slept great through the first night of the year, and didn’t wake up until shortly after 4am.
Her morning only got better when she was able to play with her cousins all morning.
We even got to Skype with my parents and my aunt Doreen and uncle Liam, which was great since they had not seen Katie’s sister and family since August.
Peggy and Kirk had invited everyone over to their place for breakfast, so as soon as everyone was ready, we all headed over for a yummy breakfast and some playtime with Sadbh and the cousins.
Since we had skipped Sadbh’s trach care cycle in the morning, we had to work hard to keep her awake for the trip home.
It all paid off and once we got home, it was time for a relaxing bath and as soon as she was dried and bundled up, she fell into a deep sleep.
Since it was a busy morning, we decided to take a quick nap after trach care. Sadbh had other plans. As we tried to snooze, Sadbh worked hard to keep us awake and since she wasn’t getting our attention, she pulled off her trach nose.
This is the second time that she’s done this in the past couple of days, so I think we have our work cut out for us.
It was another beautiful day, so we headed off for a nice long walk up to Madrona and Capitol Hill.
Sadbh slept for the entire walk and even slept for another 30 minutes, allowing us to make dinner for the evening.
As soon as she woke up, it was time for her dinner and afterwards, we spent the rest of the evening playing.
All the best,
Wayne, Katie and Sadbh.
